I am an active charity supporter and have considerable experience of organising charity fundraising and awareness-raising events.

I am a member of two local Justice & Peace Groups which are committed to campaigning in support of those less fortunate people around the world as well as organising events during the annual Fairtrade Fortnight and One World Week. I am supporting the Stop the Traffik coalition to fight against people trafficking.

I am also the past Co-ordinator of the Godalming Fairtrade Town Steering Group which achieved Fairtrade Town status for Godalming in August 2008. One of the features of Farncombe Music Club is that it has a Fairtrade Cafe & Bar as well as information on Fair Trade.

Another important aim of Farncombe Music Club is to help raise funds for the Godalming based Trinity Trust Team youth project which employs three full time youth workers. They are supported by around 30 adult volunteers who in turn are working with over 400 young people in the local area. A number of the workers and volunteers also help out at the concerts in return for this fund raising. A voluntary collection is taken at the end of each concert for TTT and the proceeds of GodFest and other occasional concertsd are donated to support their wonderful work.
